D’accordo – An ergonomic guitar armrest created by musicians, for musicians

D’accordo is an ergonomic guitar armrest, created by three people who live and breathe music, each bringing their own unique skills and experiences — all with one shared goal: to make guitar learning and playing more comfortable, accessible, and enjoyable.

What began as a small idea between musicians grew into a carefully designed tool that supports healthy posture, reduces tension, and helps guitarists feel more relaxed and confident while they play. D’accordo prevents arm pressure and slipping, allowing the right arm to move freely and naturally, so both beginners and advanced players can focus fully on their sound.

D’accordo will be exhibiting on Saturday and Sunday and present their product at theSunday presentation.

Hideo Sato (DE)

Hideo who alongside with his brother, Takeo, learned playing guitar with Prof. Ansgar Krause, has pursued the work in the workshop with deep interest already in his early days.

He decided to devote himself fully to guitar making in 2011. After a couple of years of apprenticeship, he started to build guitars with his father in Germany.

Building on his father’s rich experience, he now implements his own ideas in the business. Already his first guitars grabbed the attention of well-known guitarists around the world.

You can hear the guitars of Hideo Sato at both the Friday and the Sunday presentation.

Marcelo López (CH)

In 2016, the Swiss-born luthier built his first guitar under the guidance of master guitar maker Werner Schär. He then attended the State School of Musical Instrument Making in Mittenwald, Germany.

After graduating in 2020, Marcelo moved to Basel, Switzerland, where he opened his own guitar-making workshop.

The main focus of his work lies in repairs and the construction of traditional Spanish classical and flamenco guitars, as well as guitars from the Romantic period.

Marcelo López will be exhibiting on Saturday and show his guitars at the Friday presentation.

David Gritsch (AT)

˝David Gritsch builds acoustic guitars to the highest standards. In his guitars, he combines traditional craftsmanship with modern design and innovative construction.

In addition to his creations, he repairs used instruments and gives them a new lease of life.˝ (David Gritsch)

David Gritsch will be exhibiting on Sunday and show his guitars at the Sunday presentation.

Anže Lopatič (SI)

Anže Lopatič, born in Ljubljana, Slovenia in 1998, has been passionate about woodworking since 2013. This passion led Anže to enroll in the Wood Engineering program at the Biotechnical Faculty of the University of Ljubljana, where he is currently completing his Master’s degree.

His academic background has given him in-depth knowledge of wood properties, structural behavior, and acoustic performance. He built his first classical guitar in 2021. Since then, guitar making has become his primary focus, blending craftsmanship, science, and artistic expression.

His engineering background enables him to thoughtfully select tonewoods and design guitars that are resonant, balanced, and responsive.

Anže Lopatič will be exhibiting on Friday and show his guitars at the Friday presentation.

Gitare Jelić _Crni

Željko Jelić (HR)

Master craftsman Željko Jelić is a native of Osijek, with over half a century of life experience and a little more than 15 years of experience in making musical instruments. After retiring (and even while still in service), he developed an interest in wood and began making furniture; however, at the beginning of his musical journey in late 2007, he replaced tables and wardrobes with tamburicas and guitars.

His vocational secondary-school education in the technical field greatly helped him understand materials, components, and the processes of making musical instruments, as well as enabling him to handcraft his own tools and aids for the production process.

When it comes to guitars, he trusts the playing experience of several experts more than his own, so he has never ventured seriously into that field.

Željko Jelić will be exhibiting on Friday and show his guitars at the Friday presentation.

Mato Blažanović (HR)

Mato has been making classical guitars for approximately twenty years, primarily out of love for the instrument—a love he has nurtured since childhood—as well as a deep appreciation for music in general. By profession, he is a law graduate. The guitars he will be presenting are built using double-top technology, featuring spruce and/or cedar combined with Nomex. The back and sides are made of Indian rosewood, and the finish is a shellac polish.

Mladen Franković (HR)

Mladen Franković (HR)

Over the years, Mladen has worked with various construction approaches, including double-top designs and lattice bracing. However, for more than a decade his focus has been on solid-wood soundboards and different variants of the traditional Torres fan bracing. For him, this traditional approach represents the true sound of the classical guitar as it should be.
