Workshops

Alongside the competition, you will be able to attend three workshops/lectures for guitar students and teachers by renowned pedagogues Tatiana Stachak, Arnoldo Moreno and Anja Pirjevec

Technique and musicality – perfect harmony from the first lessons

During the lecture, Tatiana Stachak will present the most important ideas underlying her work as a teacher and composer: she will introduce her favourite teaching methods, share helpful exercises and practical performance tips. Tatiana shall also play several of her own compositions. All this under the common title: Technique and musicality – perfect harmony from the first lessons. We cordially invite you to attend the meeting. Come and discover a new approach to learning.

Rhythms of Latin America

Together with his daughter, the renowned singer Patricia Moreno, Arnoldo Moreno will take us on a journey through the music of Latin America. He will guide us through the rhythms of Cuba, Venezuela, Columbia and Uruguay. The participants will get the chance to explore the new knowledge in an impromptu guitar orchestra, guided by Arnoldo himself. The most brave of you will be able to improvise alongside him.

The importance of playing together

Anja Pirjevec’s guitar orchestra from Maribor, Slovenia, is famous for its extraordinary level. Her secret? The students start playing together from their very first lesson. In this workshop, Anja will show how ensemble playing fosters growth and motivation. Together with her orchestra and smaller groups, she will give us a live demonstration – and if you want, you can also join the orchestra. We hope to see you there!
